Alamgir is one of the most popular Bangladeshi film actor, television actor and host. Alamgir has received seven National Film Awards during his career.Alamgir was born on 3 April 1950 at Dhaka Medical College Hospital in Dhaka.His father Alhaz Kalim Uddin Ahmed (Dudu Miah) was an executive producer of Mukh O Mukhosh, the first film of the Dhallywood film industry.Alamgir's first film was Amar Jonmovumi, directed by Alamgir Kumkum. His second film was Dasyu Rani. He has worked in a variety of films and TV dramas, and also as a presenter. In 1986, he made his directorial debut with the film Nishpap. Alamgir is the host of the game show Houseful on Maasranga Television.
