Farooque is a legend famous actor in bangladesh film industry. His real name Akbar Hossain Pathan. Born August 18, 1948 in Dhaka. He is also a freedom fighter.Farooque started his career in silver screen through th film Jolchobi in 1971.He earned National Film Award in the Best Supporting Actor category for the film Lathial in 1975 by the Government of Bangladesh.He is also a businessman except his acting career. He is the Managing Director of Farooque Kniting and Dying Manufacturing Company situated in Kaliakoir, Gazipur.
